IT Helpdesk is a set of activities that secure technical support of users when problems occur in the area of information technologies. IT Helpdesk purpose is to secure an instant solution of users’ problems and requirements. Solving a requirement can be done as follows:
- IT Helpdesk technician provides the user with steps to follow to solve the problem (instructions, advice, etc.)
- Using a remote connection, the technician connects to user’s computer and solves the problem (system configuration, SW installation, etc.)
- In the case of a hardware failure, the technician visits the workplace personally and carries out necessary steps to make the hardware run (replacement or reparation of a PC, printer, telephone, etc.)
